Ravi Prakash Loses Out To Jagan In Channel Race

The latest buzz doing rounds in the media circles in Andhra Pradesh is that TV9 has lost its No. 1 position among the Telugu television channels. The slot is now being occupied by Sakshi, promoted by YSR Congress party president Y S Jaganmohan Reddy. According to sources, TV9 chief executive officer Ravi Prakash has conceded the position to Sakshi, after the recent Kadapa by-elections. One of the reasons for this downfall is the lack of professionalism in TV9, while Jagan has been making efforts to convert Sakshi into an out and out professional channel by engaging the services of national channel NDTV. “Almost all the intellectuals and brilliant brains in TV9 have deserted the channel, thanks to the dictatorial attitude of Ravi Prakash. The editorial staff in TV9 is now mediocre without any creative brains. Naturally, the programmes look dull and drab. But Ravi Prakash has not learnt any lesson. Sonia gandhi endorses jagan slogan

By denying cabinet berths to the Congress party MPs from Andhra Pradesh, Congress president Sonia Gandhi has, in a way, lent credence to the ‘self-respect’ slogan of former Kadapa MP Y S Jaganmohan Reddy. The Jagan camp has now got yet another weapon to attack the Congress high command. “It has been clearly proved that the Congress high command has least regard for the MPs from the state. It has brutally hurt the self-respect of the Telugu people. Now, the Congress MPs themselves are making serious comments stating that the party is a sinking ship. In fact, the party is already a sunken ship. One could feel the presence of the Congress government only because it was formed due to the efforts of late Y S Rajasekhara Reddy,” Jagan loyalist Ambati Rambabu said.
